Terminalia oblonga, Surá, Guayabon, Surá is a large tree that can reach a height of 45 meters and a trunk circumference of 150 cm.
Normally it has a whitish, smooth, cylindrical, straight trunk. The bark flakes off in whitish thin plates. This tree is one of the precious woods and since the 70’s it has been cut down for parquetry and many other crafts, making it a rare and endangered species.
